Destruction; Is a theme prevalent throughout the Great Depression, World War 2, and The Cold War

Order Description
The Great Depression, WWII, and the Cold War

These three consecutive eras forced or accelerated incredible change in the United States. Select one trend, idea, or social movement (Destruction) that impacted America in these three decades, and write an essay describing its importance in relation to American society.

Using at least one different primary source from all three eras, construct a cohesive essay that makes an argument that you successfully defend with evidence from class, the text, and your chosen supplemental sources. The essay should be at least three pages in length.

At a minimum, you must include, but are not limited to, the following sources.

Source One: The entire class will view The Grapes of Wrath, and you should select a theme, idea, or plight of a character from the movie that fits into your thesis. You need not quote dialogue, but may speak in broad terms of the story and its significance.

Source Two: Any primary document that directly relates to the period surrounding World War II.

Source Three: Either another primary document, or another movie, this time relating to the Cold War era. Again, for a movie, the story or theme is key as it relates to your thesis.

Let me repeat, you are not confined to only three sources, rather, evidence from three additional sources (other than lecture or the text) at least are a requirement of the essay.
Additional Notes:

Parenthetical citation in MLA format for each source
Everything must be written in past tense
Essay must have at least an Intro Paragraph, 3 body paragraphs (1 per PRIMARY source), and strong a conclusion that solidifies your thesis and theme.
